CES 2023: new peripherals from Cooler Master

For this CES 2023, Cooler Master takes the opportunity to make many announcements. Among them, there are the peripherals, especially on the keyboard and mouse side. Let’s see what the brand has in store for us! But clearly, there is a lot to say.

The CK721 Sakura Edition:

In terms of keyboard, the brand announces a new variant of its CK721, the Sakura Edition. You will have understood, the company unveils a pink version of its model in 65%.

In addition to the color, we note a small evolution in materials with the arrival of a keyset in PBT on this model. Keyset which will be besides in two tones: pink and white.

Apart from that, there is not much change in the specs. The switches are still original TTC. Likewise, the connection will be done in three ways with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired in USB. We still have a wrist rest and the multifunction wheel.

The MK770:

With the MK770, the brand puts color on our desks with this new model in 96% format. Indeed, the different colors combine worm, beige, brown, pink, blue, in short, there is what.

On the technical side, we have again a wireless keyboard using the same connection modes as the CK721. However, the battery displays a capacity twice as important with its 4000 mAh! The choice of switches is Kailh Box V2 hot-swappable.

Nevertheless, Cooler Master announces to make an effort on the noise. This MK770 is then mounted on a gasket, the stabs are pre-lubricated and we even find silicon gaskets. Finally, the keysets are in PBT!

It only remains to see if we will have the right to a French layout, it would be fire!

The MM712 Sakura Edition:

We now move to the mouse side with the small MM712 Sakura Edition. As for the CK721, this mouse also arrives in white and pink tones. We will find a small touch of RGB on the pommel, at the logo of the brand.

Compared to the regular model, there is no change in the technical specifications. This mouse still has a PixArt optical sensor capable of going up to 19000 DPI and acceleration of 50G. It is also a wireless model with a 500 mAh battery. The announced autonomy is 80 hours in 2.4 GHz against 180 hours in Bluetooth.

Of course, we are entitled to an ultra flexible USB cord and PTFE pads.

A 30th Anniversary Edition set:

To close this little tour of the brand’s periferals , we find a set labeled 30th Anniversary Edition. It is a set including keyboard, mouse and mouse pad with a modified aesthetic.

The mat, XL format displays dimensions of 900 x 400 x 3 mm. The sliding surface is made of Cordura fabric optimized for gaming while the base is made of rubber. Nevertheless, we will retain its design with a Cooler Master 30th Anniversary Edition logo in the lower right corner. In the upper left corner, different markings of the brand’s flagship series are present, very classy.

On the keyboard side, we find the MK721 which has the same layout and the same format as the CK721. The latter comes with a PBT keyset with an OEM profile. On top, the brand grafts Kailh Box V2 switches while the logo of the series is present on the wheel and the palm rest. It is still wireless with a battery of 2000 mAh and will connect to the system via Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz and USB via a USB cable called “coiled”.

As for the mouse, it is an MM712 with the same technical specifications as the original model, but with a new look.
