While the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are due to arrive on January 30, some are not necessarily playing the game and are offering their unboxing articles in advance… Before withdrawing them from their site. This is particularly true of Benchlife, which offered an unboxing of MSI’s RTX 5080 Suprim. In this shoot we could see the card from every angle. Fortunately, Guru3D managed to save a few photos!

MSI RTX 5080 Suprim unboxingMSI’s Suprim version is an imposing card with generous dimensions. In fact, this model is some 359 mm long and almost four slots thick! Clearly, we’re dealing with a brick here, but we already discovered that during CES, when we shot a video on the brand’s stand!

Be that as it may, the brand is offering us a very large new-generation heatsink. It features a trio of StormForce fans that replace the Torx Fans. These fans blow over an imposing block of aluminium fins mounted on a vapour chamber from which large copper heat pipes emanate.

In order to stiffen this massive structure, we learn that the brand uses moulded metal components. In addition, there is a backplate to stiffen the structure even further. It also features a large opening at the rear to improve airflow. Of course, in order to improve the card’s stability, we’re also entitled to a GPU support, so we can rest easy.

In terms of connectivity, we have a trio of DisplayPort 2.1b connections, complemented by an HDMI 2.1b. Power is of course supplied by a single 12V-2×6 with the famous yellow 8-pin PCIe adapter. Finally, there’s a small slot in the backplate that reveals a dipswitch for choosing between gaming and silent modes.
