Do you remember the Open Benchtable? If you don’t know it, it’s an easily transportable bench table. To achieve this, all the elements of the table are stored in the main tray so that it is easily transportable in a backpack for example. In short, the team behind this product has taken into account the feedback from users to improve its product and therefore announces the BC1 V2.
BC1 V2 : the improved version of the table is available !
Among the biggest additions to this version, we find the “demo mode”. The latter consists in positioning the table vertically in order to better admire the hardware installed on it. Note that this configuration is also available on the mini version intended for mini-ITX motherboards.
Otherwise, the team has improved the screw threads which are no longer directly molded in the main board. Remember that the OBT is made of aluminum, a soft material. Assembling and disassembling the OBT, we can imagine that some of the threads could degrade. To solve this problem, the brand proposes steel inserts directly integrated in the main plate.
Finally, among all the improvements made, we find (among others) :
- Added support for SFX power supplies
- Improved rubber feet
- Easier storage to fold it up faster
- Improved compatibility with power supplies during assembly
- Cut-outs for better handling and easier transport of the table
- Improved location of components ==> easier storage
- Eco-responsible packaging
We finish with the price of this version 2 of the table. For the blow, it will be necessary to count ~159 € the big model against ~129 € for the BC1 Mini V2. The availability is set for mid-January for the large model and early March for the mini model. For the colors, three are on the program: silver, titanium (dark gray) and black.
