RTX 4080 Super Noctua: the owl returns!
Finally, in three generations of cards, the design hasn’t changed. As you can see, this model still benefits from a gray fairing with brown tones. Between the fans, we have two chevrons forming the beak of an owl, while the fans take up the shape of the feathers surrounding the eyes that can be seen on the central hub of the fans. Last but not least, reminders of the ASUS and Noctua brands are present here and there.
However, the most impressive thing about this board is its imposing dimensions. This model will occupy four slots in a PC case! You’ll need plenty of clearance if you plan to mount it vertically. Nevertheless, this considerable thickness is also justified by the presence of two high-performance 120×25 mm NF-A12x25 fans.
ASUS provides factory overclocking with a frequency of 2640 MHz, an increase of 90 MHz compared to the reference board.
Finally, don’t expect an affordable card. The non-Super 4080 was launched at a price of $1649, which is $450 more than the $1199 recommended by NVIDIA.
