From ASUS, we can count on a new motherboard with the Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi7 W. This new model is based on the black version, but offers a white/silver color theme for lovers of white configurations. Anyway, let’s see what this model has to offer. In the meantime, it’s good news for the ITX sector, which is sorely lacking in benchmarks!

Strix B850-I Gaming WiFi 7 W: the same, but in white!

ASUS ROG Strix B850i Gaming WiFi7 WWith this motherboard, ASUS offers us a new reference in mini-ITX format. It’s a model designed for AMD processors, as evidenced by its AM5 socket and B850 chipset .

In fact, the 17×17 cm format of the board limits its connectivity. For the graphics card, a PCIe 5.0 x16 connector is present, while two DDR5 memory slots are provided. These will support 128 GB of RAM, all at a frequency of 8400 MT/s. Finally, for storage, in addition to the two SATA units mounted on the right-hand side of the board, there are two M.2 units, one in PCIe 5.0 x4, the other in PCIe 4.0 x4.

The card features QOL functionality, simplifying the assembly/disassembly of your configuration. From now on, antennas can be connected without screwing, and the same goes for the SSD part.

At the rear, there are two USB-A 2.0, four USB-A 10 Gbps and two USB-C, one 10 Gbps, the other 20 Gbps. Networking is entrusted to a 2.5 GbE Ethernet chip, as well as WiFi7. On the audio side, a Realtek ALC4080 7.1 chip drives the whole thing.

As for prices, it’s hard to say, as we don’t have them yet. However, we can reasonably assume that the bill will be slightly higher than that of the black model… Which, as a reminder, costs around €300.
