In the next few days, Asus will be taking advantage of CES 2026 to present several new products. But to build up the pressure, the brand is already teasing what could be either a case or a complete PC bearing the reference ROG G1000 AniMe Holo. It’s hard to get a precise idea, but it seems that a sort of helix on which the LEDs are positioned produces a holographic effect when it rotates.
Something is spinning at the heart of the G1000. Do you dare to look inside?

AniMe Matrix is a mini-LED matrix lighting system integrated into the cover of certain ROG Zephyrus notebooks. This technology enables users to customize and display images, GIF animations, system notifications or sound effects in pixel art style. Objectively speaking, it’s fun on laptops, but not for everyone.
ROG G1000 AniMe Holo: a complete PC rather than a DIY chassis?
AniMe Holo is an evolution of the AniMe Matrix displays, and its arrival on a desktop chassis allows for even more fantasy. Indeed, from the video, it seems that AniMe Holo makes use of an optical illusion generated by the rotation of the LEDs, giving the appearance of moving images on the chassis’ side panel.

Beyond the appearance and the advantages (?) that this could bring to the user, it seems that a chassis sold on its own to assemble one’s own PC is not really the logic of this product. Unless I’m mistaken, AniMe Holo should be available in a range of complete PCs. It remains to be seen whether this type of customization will be a decisive argument for selling a PC in 2026…
