Asus simplifies the Wi-Fi antenna installation!

For a number of years, Asus has been offering small innovations designed to simplify the installation and handling of their motherboards. Examples include mechanisms to simplify graphics card removal, and screwless M.2 slots. This time, the company is highlighting a new way of connecting Wi-Fi antennas!

Wi-Fi antennas: Asus puts an end to the chore of screwing them in!

Asus Q-Antenna

Anyone who has ever screwed Wi-Fi antennas onto a motherboard knows that this is not a particularly pleasant stage. You have to tighten small nuts on the back of the PC. Very often, when you tighten the nuts, the cables twist or the nuts are not correctly aligned with the ports, so they don’t screw on… A real hell.

The brand is now tackling this Wi-Fi antenna problem with an infinitely simpler installation method. Basically, as with a conventional plug, you simply plug the antennas into their ports and you’re done. This saves a lot of time, and is easy to do if you don’t want to move your PC.

Finally, this system is called Q-Antenna and will be featured on the brand’s new motherboards. We’re talking about the series designed to accommodate Intel’s 14th-generation processors. The Z790 Hero Dark, Strix Z790-A Gaming WiFi II and TUF Gaming Z790-Pro WiFi boards will be equipped with it!
