ASUS has announced a new series of power supplies, the ROG Thor III. We’re talking about a range of three new power supplies with top-of-the-range units, as we’ll see!
ROG Thor III: high-end power supplies from ASUS!
Clearly, this is a top-of-the-range series, with power supplies rated at 1000W, 1200W and 1600W. Efficiency is excellent, with 1000W and 1200W power supplies certified 80+ Platinum. The 1600W version goes even further: 80+ Titanium.
With this, these units benefit from a particularly meticulous design. As you can see, they also feature a small OLED display on the side that can be repositioned according to the block’s orientation.
Internally, the brand relies on quality components such as gallium nitride MOSFETs, claimed to be more efficient. Otherwise, GPU-FIRST technology will enable the block to deliver power according to GPU and not CPU activity. This enables better anticipation of power consumption peaks, for example.
Naturally, cable management is fully modular, with connectors featuring high-quality copper contacts.
In short, there’s no doubt that the bill will be on a par with the services provided by ASUS.
Here’s the product sheet for the 1600W model!
