Clearly, ASUS is making some price adjustments to its RX 9070 XT on the other side of the Atlantic. In fact, price increases of up to 17.5% are being seen in the USA. And we’re not just talking about small price rises: depending on the card variant, these are as much as 17.5%, with prices now approaching $1000!
ASUS, Increases of up to 17.5% on the RX 9070 XT!
The TUF Gaming version at almost $1000!
When we talk about increases, we’re not talking about small ones, as ASUS’s readjustments reach 17.5%. In fact, it’s the most affordable models that are affected, with the Prime version rising from $799.99 to $939.99. In contrast, the TUF Gaming version is up 16.5%, from $849.99 to $989.99, while the Prime White is up 6.7%, from $899.99 to $959.99, although this version was already expensive to begin with.
The above prices are for the brand’s US store. However, the price increase is also being felt elsewhere, as PCPartPicker is also registering an upward price trend. On April 6, the price of the Prime White had risen and stabilized at around $960.
The reasons behind this price rise?
For the moment, we don’t know the reasons behind these price hikes… Especially since ASUS hasn’t communicated about them. However, it’s not impossible that demand for these products remains strong, while the memory market remains tense on the supplier side. As we saw recently, Samsung is continuing to raise its prices on DDR5 and HBM, adding further pressure to this market.
In the meantime, in EU (France), even if ASUS cards are more expensive overall than competing models, prices remain lower than those seen in the USA. Expect to pay around €700 for a black Prime, around €800 for a white Prime and around €800 for a TUF Gaming.
