A new screen from Asus with the ROG Swift PG248QP, a monitor clearly focused on video gaming. With this monitor and its insane frequency, you’ll be able to see at over 60 FPS, and at the very least, be in the future. Joking aside, this is a monitor that’s clearly banking on a high frequency of 540 Hz via its TN panel!

ROG Swift PG248QP: a performance-oriented screen!

Asus ROG Swift PG248QPThis screen is a classic reference. We’re talking about a 24″ monitor featuring fullHD resolution via a TN panel labelled ESPORTS TN. The latter is G-Sync compatible, with refresh rates up to 540 Hz (OC). Behind this, latency is 0.2 ms gray-to-gray. Everything is done to ensure that your machine delivers maximum FPS for impeccable fluidity!

Aside from this, we’re dealing with a TN panel, and viewing angles aren’t as good as on a VA or IPS. Instead of the usual 178°, Asus mentions 170° and 160°. However, brightness reaches 400 cd/m², while contrast peaks at 1000:1. Finally, the sRGB color gamut boasts 125% coverage, while Delta E is ‘2.

The display offers two HDMI 2.0 video outputs and a DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC. There’s also a USB hub with two Type A 3.2 Gen1 ports. The stand can be adjusted in all directions, especially as the base can be retracted if you’re a Korean farmer who plays the keyboard crooked (never understood why).

Now, we’re curious to see the retail price of such a model. Clearly, it can’t be cheap!
