To celebrate 20 years since the creation of the Republic of Gamers range, better known by the acronym ROG, ASUS has unveiled a complete range of anniversary products, including an RTX 5090 ROG Astral 20th Anniversary. This special edition adopts a design blending black and gold, giving it a premium yet understated look, to mark the brand’s two decades with fans and overclockers alike. First observation: it’s even bigger!

A RTX 5090 Astral in anniversary colors. But that’s not all: it’s also got a bit more weight and size. We discover a classic RTX 5090 Astral equipped with a much thicker and wider fairing, and a huge OLED screen on the right-hand edge of the graphics card.

And yes, ASUS has finally given in to the fashion for GPU-integrated screens, since this is a curved AMOLED screen. You’ll be able to display GIFs, videos and photos, as well as your computer’s monitoring information.

Finally, ASUS has added not a 600 W BIOS to its RTX 5090, but an 800 W BIOS, along the same lines as the recently unveiled RTX 5090 Matrix. To take full advantage of the 800 W, you’ll need to use both the 12V-2×6 connector and the detachable BTF connector.

And of course, to accompany such a graphics card, you need a power supply that’s out of the ordinary. For the occasion, ASUS has chosen to launch a 20th anniversary edition of its ROG Thor III, but this time in 3000 Watt. It incorporates ROG Equalizer technology on the 12V-2×6 connector to improve the stability and security of the graphics card’s power supply.

Honestly, this RTX 5090 ROG Astral 20th Anniversary and this ROG Thor III 3000 Watt from ROG are a thing of beauty. But it also looks extremely limited in quantity and reserved for the most substantial budgets.

In any case, ASUS has gone all out for this anniversary. And at the same time, we have the impression that this special edition is overshadowing the RTX 5090 Matrix presented a short while ago.
