Asus China completes its Megalodon series with an RTX 4070 ATS

Sometimes it’s refreshing to look at what’s being done on Asian markets, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Indeed, the Chinese branch of Asus is unveiling a new card from its Megalodon series, a range that is totally unknown here. And to complete this series, what could be better than an RTX 4070 ATS (Atlas Shark)?

RTX 4070 ATS: a refreshing design!

Asus Megalodon RTX 4070 ATSWith this card, the Asian branch offers us a rather compact model… At least, one that occupies just over two slots in a PC. This is quite a change from the Strix and TUF versions with their 3 slots. However, the brand has opted for a three-fan heatsink that measures 31 cm in length. The back of the card features a perforated backplate.

In terms of operating frequencies, this model runs at 2550 MHz boost, a gain of +3% over the reference card. A dual bios(Silence and Performance) is also present. Memory is unaffected, and still runs at 21 Gbps.

As for connectivity, this is a card that will require an 8-pin PCIe for power supply. Otherwise, there are three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1.

Finally, this is a model that retails at 3299 RMB, or $464 USD after conversion. Unfortunately, we’re unlikely to see it arrive in France, or even in Europe, as it’s a model only available in China.
