Asus announces two new graphics cards based on RTX 4090. The cards are intended to be compact… At least, as much as possible. On the program, we find the Strix LC and TUF Gaming OG models, one version watercooled by AIO, the other, air-cooled.

Strix LC : the RTX 4090 cooled by AIO !

Asus RTX 4090 Strix LCWith this Strix LC model, Asus announces a graphics card cooled by a watercooling type AIO. Indeed, we find a 240 mm radiator with two 120 mm aRGB fans. To connect the cold plate, two pipes of 56 cm in length are present.

Of course, the GPU and the memory have an extended cold plate that will cool these elements in particular. As for the power supply stages, they benefit from a dedicated radial fan, as well as their own heatsink.

The card comes in two versions, one factory overclocked and the other not. On the OC side, the card displays a boost to 2610 MHz against 2640 MHz via the OC mode. Next to that, the non-overclocked model should run at 2520 MHz in boost.

The TUF Gaming OG: new with old!

RTX 4090 StriX TUF Gaming OGAsus also offers a more mainstream model with a TUF Gaming OG version. This card uses the heatsink of the RTX 3090 of the same name as well as its PCB. In terms of dimensions, this allows to gain in size since the thickness is reduced. It goes from 72.6 cm to 62.8 cm. The same applies to the length, which has also been shortened to 325.9 mm compared to 348.2 mm for the current version.

Again, two variants are offered with factory overclocking or not. The overclocked card then has a 2565 MHz boost that can reach 2595 MHz via software. The other card will simply run at reference frequencies with a modest 2550 MHz via software.

All that remains is to know the selling price.
