With the launch of the RTX 4070 Ti, NVIDIA ‘s partners take the opportunity to launch their cards. This is the case of Asus which offers two models for now. Indeed, the brand unveils its TUF Gaming and Strix versions!
TUF Gaming and Strix, two variants of the RTX 4070 Ti at Asus!
We start with the Strix version which has a design rather equivalent to the RTX 4080 Strix. The fairing is then rather colorful with touches of blue, red and gray. At the rear, we can distinguish the presence of a diffuser for aRGB lighting and a perforated backplate is part of the game.
However, the card arrives with a large footprint. You will have to deal with a model of 336 mm in length for a thickness of 3.15 slots. Clearly, forget this card if you have a compact case.
Otherwise, we find different fans than its counterpart RTX 4080. The latter have more blades: 11 to be precise. They blow on a heatsink named MaxContact maximizing the exchange surface.
If the press release does not mention the frequencies, we know that this model offers a double bios: performance and silence.
The TUF Gaming version is much wiser, especially in terms of dimensions. If the thickness increases to 3.25 slots, the length on the other hand is more contained: 305 mm, which is more “reasonable”.
However, Asus still opts for its in-house fans, the AxialTech with eleven blades. With this, the fairing, the heat sink and the backplate ensure a structural rigidity similar to the old TUF series according to Asus.
And if the frequencies are not known, we know that a dual bios is also part of this version.
As for the price, we only know that the card was officially announced at $799.
