New keyboard to be announced by Asus at this CES 2023: the ROG Azoth. It is a rather compact model in a 75% format. However, what we will remember from the start is its selling price!
ROG Azoth: a keyboard 75% displayed 299 € !
With this new model, the brand offers us a mechanical keyboard in 75% format. It keeps its directional arrows, some navigation keys and function keys.
However, it is inspired by certain practices from the world of custom keyboards. Thus, we find an insulated base with silicone gasket, ditto for the PCB which has a phonic foam to reduce vibrations. In addition, the ROG NX switches are pre-lubricated as standard, as are the stabs. If necessary, the brand provides the necessary tools to disassemble the switches and re-lubricate them yourself.
Internally, of course, we have the right to switches with a linear, tactile and clicky feel. The keyboard has N-key rollover and full anti-ghosting . In addition, the polling rate is 1000 Hz. The connection to the PC can be done via USB, Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz. This means that we have a battery, but no figures communicated on the autonomy. On the other hand, a small OLED screen of 256×64 is part.
For the price, it is 299 €, which is really not cheap. Is it worth it? To be seen in test.
