A new monitor from AOC: the CQ27G2S. Once again, this is a monitor aimed at gamers, with a high refresh rate.
CQ27G2S: a 165 Hz curved QHD monitor at 1500R for gamers!
With this monitor, the brand offers us a model equipped with a 27″ VA slab. The latter promises to be particularly responsive, since AOC claims a frequency of 165 Hz, while latency will be 1 ms MPRT versus 4 ms gray-to-gray. The other special feature of this model is its curvature radius, since we’re dealing with 1500R.
As for the display, it’s a QHD resolution: 2560x1440p. Contrast and brightness are 4000:1 and 250 cd/m² respectively. These characteristics enable the screen to earn a small HDR10 certification. Finally, the brand claims 99% coverage of the sRGB color gamut.
Of course, this screen comes with a stand that can be adjusted in all directions. On the other hand, connectivity is rather poor, with one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4 and one audio output. The brand could have gone further by adding a USB hub, but it doesn’t.
All that’s left now is to talk about the selling price, which is intended to be rather affordable: €249, with availability set for the end of September!
