As for AMD, its CEO, Lisa Su, announced that the company’s total addressable market would reach $2,000 billion by 2030. More specifically, the server processor segment alone will account for $200 billion. Currently, AMD accounts for 46% of revenue generated in the server CPU sector. It would be interesting to see what the company’s market share is, in terms of units sold.
Obviously, the launch of the new Epyc processors based on the Zen 6 architecture will play a key role in the company’s efforts to gain market share. It’s worth noting that the company is pulling out all the stops. As a reminder, we’re talking about processors with up to 256 cores/512 threads, clock speeds of 5 GHz or higher, and support for PCIe 6.0.
