Heading for Alphacool, where the brand unveils a new batch of waterblocks for ASUS and Gigabyte graphics cards. This time, the brand tackles the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti of both manufacturers. Clearly, there’s plenty to do, as we shall see.
RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti: Alphacool blocks for Gigabyte and ASUS refs!
Once again, the Core series is a well-known Alphacool range, arguably the brand’s core business. What’s more, this is a ” full cover ” series, covering the entire printed circuit board. As usual, Alphacool’s blocks are chrome-plated. This treatment is considered more resistant than conventional nickel plating. Of course, the base is copper, while the top is acrylic. And let’s not forget to mention that the threads are brass, also chrome-plated, while the terminal is nylon. Naturally, dimensions will vary according to the board on which the block is mounted, and speaking of boards, the range is available for a wide variety of boards. For example, the series takes on the ASUS Prime series, with compatibility for RTX 5070 Ti and 5080… The same goes for the TUF Gaming series. As for Gigabyte, the RTX 5070 Ti Gaming OC and WindForce receive their own compatible block. As for the 5080, the Master, Aero OC SFF, Gaming OC and WindForce OC/SFF models are concerned. The selling price has not changed, and Alphacool is still charging €200 for its waterblock. Note that this price also includes the backplate and all mounting hardware.
