CES 2023 will open its doors next week, from Thursday January 5th to Sunday January 8th. And, leaks are starting to circulate as for the future Alienware AW2524H screen with a 480Hz overclockable panel at 500 Hz.
This Alienware AW2524H screen is in some ways the descendant of the AW2523HF which had a 360 Hz panel. Both share a resolution of 1920 x 1080p on a fast IPS panel. To reach 480 Hz or 500 Hz you will need to use a Displayport 2.0 or the latest 2.1 port introduced with the RX 7000 from AMD.
Regarding the ergonomics, the screen has a height adjustable stand. The back of the screen also has RGB elements. For the connectivity, we manage to distinguish at least two HDMI ports and a Displayport. The latter should be very close to the AW2523HF which had two HDMI, a Displayport, a headphone output and a USB 3.2 gen 1 HUB.
This Alienware 500 Hz display may become a best seller for esport game enthusiasts. The price remains to be seen, but it will be necessary to count more than the 450 $/€ requested for the AW2523HF of 2022. To find out more, go to CES 2023 next week during the Alienware announcements.
