A Core Ultra 7 270 Plus spotted on Geekbench

If all goes well, in 2026 we should see a series of processors refreshed with Arrow Lake Refresh. The real novelty, Nova Lake, would arrive only later, as has been confirmed. In the meantime, GeekBench features an entry for a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, a refresh version of Arrow Lake. Note that this result seems to be part of the validation process for a Lenovo machine featuring an RTX 5090D.

Core Ultra 7 270 Plus: first glimpse of Intel’s refresh!

In terms of configuration, this processor features a total of 24 cores, 8 P-Core and 16 E-Core. Compared to a Core Ultra 7 265K, that’s four more E-Cores. There may well be something new in this refresh , and things may not be as disappointing as expected. To be continued. On the other hand, the software also gives the operating frequencies, which are a basic 3.7 GHz with a maximum frequency of around 5.5 GHz. As far as scores are concerned, these rival a Core Ultra 9 285K. At the same time, given the configuration, we’re not far off.

Otherwise, Intel would bring better RAM support with this series, with an IMC supporting DDR5 at 7200 MT/s natively. But here, we’re in the realm of supposition. As for the rest of the range, it could include a Core Ultra 9 290K Plus and a Core Ultra 5 250K Plus with 24 and 14 cores respectively.

Other new features include widespread support for APO(Application Performance Optimizations), which will influence the way workloads are distributed between cores. But to take advantage of this, Windows 11 is required, while DTT(Dynamic Tuning Technology) must be active in the bios. In practice, this improves average framerate by 14%, but above all improves stability with 1% low boosted by 21%. This technology could become widespread with Arrow Lake Refresh.

Nevertheless, it should be borne in mind that the blueprints for this generation are not yet fully known.
