A new power supply from Seasonic, announcing a massive new reference. It’s a power supply offering 2200W of power, all with a high level of certification and a large bundle. The price tag isn’t the most pleasant part of the story.
Seasonic Prime PX: a massive 2200W power supply!
With this new power supply, the brand is offering us a huge reference with a total power output of 2200W. What’s more, the efficiency promises to be very good, as the unit is 80+ Platinum certified. All this enables Seasonic to offer a power supply with two 12V-2×6 connectors.
In terms of dimensions, you’ll need to pay close attention to the casing, which is at least 210 mm deep. In addition to the length taken up by the modular connectors, depending on the model, this can quickly become a problem.
In any case, Seasonic offers a quality power supply. Internally, there’s no doubt that you’ll find quality components. What’s more, the power supply complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. Protection features include OPP, OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP and SCP. Otherwise, cooling is provided by a 135 mm fan with semi-passive operation.
All that’s left is to talk about the accessory section, which is really very comprehensive. For example, there are sheathed cables, strand by strand, with small combs for fitting them. Otherwise, nylon collars and Velcro strips are supplied, as well as a 90° adaptor for the 24-pin ATX. It can also be used as a power supply tester.
All in all, it’s only the €579.90 price tag that’s a nuisance!
