Let’s take a quick look at MSI’s AM5 motherboards, and in particular the MEG X870E Godlike. While these boards have been available for some time now, the Godlike is still not on our shelves. As a result, we don’t know the retail price… Well, not yet.
$1279 for the MEG X870E Godlike!
We know that with this model, MSI is hitting hard by concentrating all its know-how in a single model. The Godlike is like the ROG Extreme from ASUS or the Xtreme from Gigabyte: the card concentrates all the functions offered by the brand.
So you’ll find a card with a screen positioned right next to the RAM , or the EZ Link for easy cabling inside the case. But that’s not all, as the CPU power supply features a large number of power supply phases: 24+2+1. Similarly, the on-board cooling system is also very advanced, with two heat pipes for the VRMs and heat sink with pads for all the M.2 slots for the SSDs.
Otherwise, the connectivity is plentiful. For storage, we have five M.2s, two of which are PCIe 5.0 x4. Graphics will benefit from two PCIe 5.0 (x16/x8), while a PCIe 4.0 x4 closes the deal. Finally, the I/O shield is ultra-complete, with eight USB-A 10 Gbps and six USB-C , two of which are 40 Gbps. There are also flashback, Clear CMOS and Smart functions. Finally, the network part is entrusted to 10 GbE and 5 GbE Ethernet in addition to WiFi 7!
In short, all this adds up to a hefty price tag of $1279. All that remains is to find out prices and availability in France, but don’t expect to pay less than €1,300!
