A new graphics card arrives on the market from ASUS. The brand is offering an RTX 5070 Ti TUF White. As you may have guessed, this is a white graphics card, but it’s also a model equipped with a GC-HPWR connector. As a reminder, this is an ASUS in-house connector capable of withstanding heavy loads where a 12V-2×6 tends to melt rather quickly.
5070 Ti TUF White BTF: the GC-HPWR on an RTX 5070 Ti!
As you can see, this is a classic card from the TUF Gaming series. Indeed, the fairing is in line with that used by ASUS on the current series, there’s no doubt about that. It includes a trio of fans that blow over an imposing block of aluminum fins. The dimensions are significant, with a three slots thickness, thicker than the rest, and a length of 329 mm. In any case, the special feature of this model is its GC-HPWR connector, mounted as an extension of the graphics card’s PCIe slot. This assembly is designed to be mounted on a compatible ASUS BTF motherboard. However, if you want the graphics card and don’t have the motherboard, you can always remove said connector, because yes, it’s removable. But in that case, you might as well go for a 5070 Ti TUF Gaming White. In short, the advantage of this removable GC-HPWR connector is versatility and, between you and me, it makes it easier to resell your hardware on the second-hand market. If everyone can use your card, you’ll find it easier to sell than if you sell a graphics card that can only work with a single reference card on the market! As for price, we’re talking about a bill in the $1440 range.
