At NVIDIA, we have the consumer graphics cards with the GeForce models and the professional series. With this generation of Blackwell GPUs, it would seem that the series is called RTX Pro 6000, a name rather similar to the models using Ada Lovelace chips, which were called RTX x000 Ada. In short, we learn that NVIDIA is planning a massive VRAM capacity for this series!

RTX Pro 6000: 96GB of memory with 3GB chips!

The company is planning several cards, including a Max-Q version. In all cases, the cards will share a similar PCB which, according to the latest news, features memory chips on both sides of the printed circuit. What’s more, these models will have massive VRAM capacity, with 96GB of memory, all in GDDR7 ECC. These chips feature an error correction system to improve reliability.

What more can we say? These models appear to use a GB202 GPU with 24064 cuda core in their workstation and server versions. The TDP here will be 600W for these versions, while the Max-Q model will operate with a more limited GPU : 300W of power via more constrained frequencies and a lower power limit too.

Of course, the power supply will pass through a 12V-2×6 power connector, which is not visible here. This is perfectly normal since, as with the RTX 6000 Ada, the power supply connection is via an extension lead, the socket for which is located at the rear of the card. On these PCBs, we can see four pins used to solder the famous extension lead.

What’s more, it would appear that NVIDIA is using the same PCB on the lower-end model, the RTX Pro 5000, which is also distinguished by having half the memory: 48 GB. To achieve this, only one side of the PCB would be occupied by VRAM.
