At this year’s CES, ASUS presented a new backpannel motherboard: the B850-BTF WiFi. However, this board had an all-black colour theme. Today we learn that the brand is unveiling a white version of its board. This means you can set up configurations with no visible cables, in all-white – class!
B850-BTF WiFi W: a new version presented!
On the program, we find a motherboard in ATX format. It’s designed for AMD Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 processors, with its AM5 socket and B850 chipset. To power the CPU, this model has 14+2+1 power supply phases.
In terms of connectivity, this is a complete card. It features four DDR5 memory slots for up to 256 GB of RAM, all running at up to 8000 MT/s.
Three PCIe slots are available, with the first connector interfaced with PCIe 5.0 and operating at x16. The second will be a silly slot wired in x1 and running at the 3.0 standard, while the last will run at x4 at the 4.0 standard.
As far as storage is concerned, the card includes a total of three M.2s, one of which is PCIe 5.0 x4, while the other two make do with PCIe 4.0 x4. There are also four SATA III 6 Gb/s.
Of course, the vast majority of connectors are not visible as shown. They are simply positioned at the rear of the printed circuit board. That’s exactly the point: to hide the cables during assembly. What’s more, compared with a more conventional TUF card, we find a shield that masks the PCB as much as possible.
Finally, the card has a 2.5 GbE Ethernet connection, while audio is handled by a Realtek ALC1220P with 7.1 capability.
