OC World Cup 2025: a new edition announced!

G.Skill OC World Cup 2025

As usual, G.Skill is organising a competition that will take place in several stages. The first stage involves online qualification. This will start on February 15 and finish on March 19. After that, the nine qualifiers from the first stage will travel to Taipei for the live qualifiers at Computex. This stage will run from May 20th to 23rd. Finally, there will be the grand final, which will put the three qualifiers from the previous stage against each other, and will take place on May 23, the last day of the show.

Of course, to motivate participants, the brand is lining up a big cash prize, as it does every year. The cash prize totals $40,000, which will be divided between the nine qualifiers… But the champion will walk away with the grand prize: $10,000! And between the trip to Taiwan and the grand prize, there’s plenty to look forward to.

But before you start dreaming, the first stage will put your skills to the test. The online qualification stage will feature five challenges, all based on Intel Z790/Z890 motherboards. Firstly, you’ll have to push your DDR5 frequency to the max. The other challenges will involve benchmarks such as 7-Zip, PYPrime 32B, SuperPI 32M and Y-Cruncher 2.5B.
