A new display from MSI, with the MPG 322URX QD-OLED. Clearly, this is a top-of-the-range monitor with a responsive QD-OLED panel. In short, it’s a display that promises to deliver some serious performance.
MPG 322URX QD-OLED:UHD at 240 Hz!
This model is equipped with a 32″ QD-OLED panel. This is a flat screen, with no curvature. However, it boasts a high UHD resolution of 3840×2160. What’s more, responsiveness is clearly a key concern, with this screen boasting a frequency of 240 Hz and a latency of 0.03 ms.
In terms of display, the QD-OLED panel boasts high contrast, with typical values of 1,500,000:1. Brightness is 250 nits in SDR mode, with peaks of 1,000 nits. In HDR mode, it reaches 450 nits. Of course, the screen offers viewing angles of 178° both horizontally and vertically, and will cover the DCI-P3 and sRGB colour gamuts of 99% and 138% respectively. Finally, it will be able to display some 1.07 billion colours over 10 bits.
Of course, with such a high resolution and such a high frequency, you need the right connectors. MSI therefore boasts the use of a DisplayPort 2.1 connector offering a data rate of 80 Gbps. Otherwise, the screen benefits from a complete connectivity package with two HDMI, one DisplayPort, one USB-C (DisplayPort Alt 98W power) and a two-port USB-A hub.
The stand also allows the screen to be adjusted in all directions.
In terms of compatibility, there’s a console mode that allows it to work with a PS5, for example. Otherwise, it incorporates a KVM switch that lets you switch from one PC to another using a single keyboard/mouse set when two of them are connected to the screen. Finally, you can change the aspect ratio of the display and switch to 24″ or 27″ mode.
As for the price, it stings – expect to pay at least €1,000!
