The ASUS ProArt PA401 is a case we’ve already heard about. The first time was at the beginning of December, when it went on sale in China. The second time was yesterday, when the brand showcased it with a Ryzen 9 9950X passively cooled with a Noctua NH-P1. And today we learn that the brand has officially announced it!

With this new case, we’re dealing with a beautiful baby measuring 225 (W) x 412 (H) x 503 (D) mm. However, the weight remains fairly acceptable, weighing just 8.61 kg in its tempered glass version, compared to 7.94 kg with its steel panel.
In any case, this is a case that incorporates wooden elements. The front panel is wood and that’s all. Unlike the PA602, this one doesn’t have a carrying handle or wood veneered control panels. This is clearly a lighter version.
This is also reflected in the number of functions. While the body still benefits from a lock on the power button, the infrared dust sensor on the front panel has disappeared. The same goes for the wheels on the back of the case, which make it easier to transport.
However, this model does incorporate some interesting features, including Velcro strips for easy cabling and a hub for four fans. Similarly, the basic ventilation includes a total of three fans, including two 160 mm fans at the front and one 120 mm fan at the rear. As for their cooling performance, we have an overview here.
Otherwise, this case is compatible with standard ATX motherboards. CPU fans have a height clearance of 160 mm, graphics cards 315 mm and power supplies 170 mm. On the storage side, it offers four slots, two 2.5″ and two 3.5″/2.5″.
AIO compatibility is limited by the fan slots. There are two 120/140 mm slots at the top, and two 160/140 mm slots at the front. So, at best, you’ll be able to integrate 280mm AIO/watercustom fans.
The price has yet to be determined.
