Flight Simulator is probably one of the best-known flight simulators, if not the best-known. However, for the 2024 version, Microsoft has announced the configurations required to run the game, and clearly, the ” ideal ” machines to run the game are completely out of this world!

If you’re planning to buy the game, make sure you have a recent configuration, but above all one that’s solid on its feet. Ideally, Microsoft recommends only high-end components based on expensive graphics cards such as AMD’s RX 7900 XTX or NVIDIA’s RTX 4080. For the CPU, the latter should be well-equipped with Ryzen 7 7900X or Core i7 14700K cores. Last but not least, 64 GB of memory is recommended! However, it’s hard to say under what conditions the game will run on such a machine.
Fortunately, at the very least, the game will run with a Ryzen 5 2600X/Core i7 6800K and an RX 5700/GTX 970, but expect to have to set everything to minimum and only run at 30 FPS.
Recommended configurations are Ryzen 7 2700X/Core i7 10700K, RX 5700 XT/RTX 2080 and 32 GB RAM.
As for disk space, however, it’s 50 GB at launch. Of course, as updates are rolled out, we can expect the game folder to take up more space, but hey.
