Things are gradually falling into place at ASUS, which is registering a large number of motherboards with the EEC. We’re talking about a total of 29 new references, all equipped with a Z890 chipset.
29 Z890 boards registered by ASUS!
Via ITHome, we have learned that ASUS is registering 29 new motherboards with the EEC. All the brand’s ranges are involved, including the ROG Maximus, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, Prime, ProArt and even AYW series.
However, among the most interesting series are the ROG Maximus, often used for overclocking, and the Z890 Apex and Apex Encore. Otherwise, we find the Formula and Extreme models, really top-of-the-range cards offering a maximum of functionality, including water-cooled VRMs for the Formula.
Otherwise, we discover that ASUS seems motivated to perpetuate its AYW range, a series of cards that seems to be moving towards emery OC. In any case, that’s the conclusion we drew with the Z790 version, which only had two memory slots!

Finally, for lovers of PCs with no visible cables, we have two models: the Maximus Z890 Hero BTF and the TUF Gaming Z890-BTF WiFi. As a reminder, with a suitable case, no cables will be visible in your PC since the main connectors migrate to the back of the motherboard tray.
Clearly, if ASUS is already managing to register so many cards with a single chipset, we’re curious to see the brand’s catalogue with the B850 and H810 models. However, just because there are 29 references registered doesn’t mean there will be 29 motherboards to be released.
