XPG has announced a new series of memory kits with its Lancer NEON. Clearly, if you like RGB lighting, you’ll be in heaven, as this series illuminates almost the entire heatsink.
Lancer NEON: 60% more RGB lighting!
With this series of RAMs, the company is going all out for bright lighting, as you can see. Here, almost the entire heatsink is illuminated and the RGB surface area has been increased by 60%! Speaking of the heatsink, it’s a rather substantial 45.18 mm high. Be careful if you have an aircooling heatsink or if you’re planning to buy one!
In terms of specifications, we’re dealing with 16GB or 24GB capacity modules. In terms of frequency, the datasheet mentions speeds of 6000 MT/s, 6400 MT/s, 6800 MT/s, 7200 MT/s and 8000 MT/s. Otherwise, we find CAS Latencies in 30, 32, 34, 38 and 40 with voltages of 1.35V and 1.45V.
XPG also boasts a coating to help with heat dissipation. In its press release, the company states that it reduces the temperature of its memory by 8.5°C, improving thermal dissipation by a substantial 10%.
Finally, it’s also an eco-friendly RAM, using bio-sourced or at least more environmentally-friendly materials. We’re talking about PCR plastic or packaging using recycled materials.
All that remains is to find out how much it will cost.
