Chieftec announces its Pro Mini case

Chieftec has announced a new case reference with the Pro Mini. This is a new case reference for configurations equipped with micro-ATX motherboards.

Pro Mini: a small case for small motherboards!

Chieftec Pro Mini

With this new model, Chieftec offers us a small reference for configurations equipped with micro-ATX motherboards. As far as the rest of the components are concerned, we find clearances that allow the mounting of components that can sometimes be quite imposing, such as the 165 mm height of the CPU cooler. As for the graphics card, at 330 mm in length, the biggest cards on the market won’t fit. For example, an ASUS Strix is 35 cm long.

When it comes to storage, we’re back to classic capacities. A 3.5″ hard disk and a 2.5″ SSD can be installed via a standard cage mounted under the power tunnel. An additional 2.5″ drive is available on the back of the motherboard tray.

As for ventilation, this model has eight 120 mm slots:

  • 3x at the front
  • 2x at the top
  • 1x at the rear
  • 2x on the feed tunnel

Despite the possibility of mounting three blowers at the front, the box is not advertised as supporting 360 mm radiators. At most, it will be able to accommodate 280 mm models.

Once again, the price has yet to be determined.
