If you’re a regular visitor to our site, you’re probably already familiar with Geekbench, since we use several versions for our CPU tests. Today, we’ve learned that a new application is available: Geekbench AI version 1.0. In fact, it’s not quite a new application, but the logical continuation of Geekbench ML(machine learning), which was in version 0.6.
As you may have guessed, Geekbench AI will measure AI performance in machine learning, deep learning and AI-specific workloads. The application can be run on the CPU, GPU or NPU, provided the latter is compatible. Geekbench AI supports NPUs from Intel, Qualcomm and, in the near future, AMD.
The new application is available for Android, Linux, MacOC and, of course, Windows. As is already the case with other applications, Geekbench AI will provide three scores, referenced as “Full precision”, “Half precision” and “Quantized”. In addition to these scores, there’s another element to consider: accuracy. The principle is that, in addition to the test, the software will determine the extent to which the result obtained is correct. The developers are very enthusiastic, and are already announcing the arrival of regular updates.
The application is free, but the Pro license gives you access to a number of additional tools, as well as the ability to run the benchmark without having to download the results to your browser. The price of the license is $99.
