Via @9550pro on Twitter, we can take a look at the first scores obtained by a Ryzen 9 9950X. The latter turns out to be impressive, taking fifth place in 3DMark Time Spy while being cooled by a simple custom watercooling system!
Ryzen 9 9950X: fifth place in 3DMark Time Spy with watercooling!
Looking at HWBot, we can see that the Ryzen 9 9950X is in fifth place on 3DMark Time Spy (CPU). Norwegian user Domdtxdissar submitted a score of 29,102 marks with a processor mounted under a custom watercooling system. The motherboard used here was an ASUS Crosshair X670E Gene, a micro-ATX model.
This score puts the processor in first place in the following categories :
- 16-core processor.
- Ryzen 9 9950X… Normal, it’s the only one.
However, if you look at the Hall of Fame, the processor is on a par with others, which are often much better equipped in terms of cores. We’re talking here about server-type models like the Threadripper Pro 5995WX/3990X or the Xeon W9!
In short, overclockers must be looking forward to AMD finally launching its Ryzen 9000 processors. Clearly, there will be plenty of overclocking scores to fall all around the place !
Incidentally, the Norwegian is also putting his CPU through other tests :
- 3DMark CPU Profile 1 Thread: 1,393 marks (10th in the world)
- 3DMark CPU Profile MAX: 20,583 marks (23rd in the world)
- HWBot x265 benchmark 1080p: 275.98 fps (32nd in the world)
