Initially expected for the end of 2024, the RTX 5000s may not see the light of day then. New rumors from @kopite7kimi on Twitter indicate that NVIDIA may be using CES to announce its cards. If so, 2025 looks set to be a very busy year for graphics cards!
RTX 5000 finally available in early 2025?
According to rumors, NVIDIA is not planning to launch its new graphics cards until 2025. It seems that the company is in no hurry to launch its cards – quite the contrary, in fact. At present, the Chameleon dominates the market by a wide margin, while stocks are likely to be full, so there’s no reason to rush.
What’s more, 2025 looks set to be a busy year for graphics cards, since in addition to NVIDIA’s new generation, we should see the arrival of AMD’s RX 8000 and Intel’s new cards. Clearly, you can start saving now, as there’s every chance that the coming year will be an exciting one in terms of hardware.
Now it remains to be seen whether NVIDIA will actually use CES to announce its graphics cards. As our confrères at El Chapuzas Informatico point out, CES is historically an opportunity for NVIDIA to talk about its mobile graphics cards. Dedicated graphics cards are usually the subject of a separate, more prominent event.
