Via the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) website, we can see some interesting entries from Acer. Indeed, the brand has registered some rather strange names for AMD boards. Several non-XT RX 7000s are involved, along with RX 7900s, RX 7800s and RX 7700s!

As you can see, under its Predator BiFrost nomenclature, Acer has registered a total of six names: RX 7700, 7800 and 7900, all with factory overclocked versions. What these names don’t tell us, however, is the potential memory configuration behind them all.
At present, it remains to be seen whether we’ll see a new AMD card launched in this series or not. Clearly, with the RX 8000s due to arrive in the future, it’s hard to believe that AMD will be launching three new cards. On the one hand, this would revitalize the series, which has been losing momentum. This is reflected in the latest market share figures for AMD and NVIDIA.
In any case, if the Reds were to launch these cards, it’s not hard to imagine where they would be positioned. The 7700 and 7800 would de facto be positioned below their XT counterparts. As for the 7900, it’s conceivable that this would be a card to be inserted between the RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 GRE.
