Relying on the new AMD Ryzen AI 300 (aka Strix Point) SoCs, Asus offers an aesthetically appealing Copilot notebook that will make budding creatives salivate. There’s no doubt that, from the design to the keywords used by Asus to launch this ProArt P16, it’s MacBook Pro users who are targeted. The main feature of this notebook is its high-flying components in a sober, efficient design.
Asus ProArt P16: the MacBook Pro in your sights
Let’s start with the specification sheet: in addition to the AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor, this new version of the P16 will be equipped with a 4K OLED panel and an 8Gb RTX 4070. Rendering quality will be an important argument, as the panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum and has a maximum brightness of 500 cd/m². The ProArt P16 also boasts VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black, Dolby Vision and Pantone Validated certifications.
Obviously, packing so much muscle into a portable chassis has to have a counterpart on the scales. However, the ProArt P16 manages to keep this in check, weighing in at 1.85 kg with its 90 Wh battery. Finally, from an aesthetic point of view, at 14.9 mm thick, it doesn’t feel like you’re lugging around a monster. While several configurations will be available, we’ve decided to tell you about the largest model, which in addition to its OLED panel and RTX 4070, features a Ryzen 300 AI 9 HX 370 (12C/24T) backed by 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage. Connectivity is not to be outdone, with Wifi 7 and a full-size HDMI 2.1 port with up to 8K 60 Hz output. A USB 4 Type-C® port supports up to 100 watts of power for charging and up to 40 Gbps bandwidth for video streaming or data transfer. The ProArt P16 also features an SD 7.0 card reader.
Asus boasts seamless integration of Microsoft’s new AI features. The ProArt P16 thus offers a complete set of creative applications to streamline creative journeys from start to finish. MuseTree lets you generate creative images from a few texts or sketches. StoryCube is a unique AI media center that automatically organizes and classifies digital resources. In addition, the ProArt P16 offers a free 6-month subscription to CapCut, which features AI functions for fast, dynamic video editing. Of course, a Microsoft Copilot key is included in the keyboard, offering instant access to AI assistance.
