A new small graphics card from MSI has just surfaced. In fact, we learned of its existence from an unboxing video posted on YouTube by a Russian videographer. The video shows a tiny MSI Arc A310 Low Profile. A tiny card featuring a small heatsink with two fans!
A310 Low Profile 2X: a tiny MSI card!
The program features a very small card in low-profile format. It features a half-height PCB. However, the board’s heatsink occupies two slots in the case. The latter features two small fans blowing on a network of aluminum fins. A rather sophisticated solution, given the 30W TDP to be dissipated.
The GPU, with its 768 cores, 32 TMUs and 16 ROPs, won’t be the best performer. Likewise, we’re entitled to 4GB of GDDR6 on a small 64-bit memory bus. In short, the kind of card you’d keep mainly for display purposes. For this, we have a DisplayPort output as well as HDMI.
However, MSI’s solution is not unlike that of Sparkle. Sparkle, however, is distinguished by the presence of a greater number of video outputs, based on four mini-DisplayPorts.
All that remains to be seen is whether or not this is a geographically locked card. By which we mean, is it a regionally exclusive model, or not? As for the price, it’s on sale in Russia for 10700 ₽, or around €107.
