Asus unveils its Prime B100I-D4 motherboard in ITX with CPU

Via TechpowerUp we’ve just received word of a new motherboard from Asus, which is unveiling its Prime N100I-D4. This is a tiny motherboard in mini-ITX format. What sets it apart, however, is the Intel N100 processor soldered directly onto the PCB!

Prime N100I-D4: a small motherboard with integrated CPU!

Asus Prime N100I-D4This new board features an Intel N100. As a reminder, this is a tiny CPU made up of four E-Cores operating at up to 3.4 GHz. Its big advantage, however, is its very low power consumption/heating. It has a TDP of just 6W. That’s why a passive heatsink is fitted as standard.

Otherwise, the motherboard’s connectivity is very basic. It features a DDR4 memory slot in SO-DIMM format. It can accept RAM clocked at up to 3200 MT/s. The storage section features a SATA III connector and two M.2 connectors, one for storage, the other for a WiFi module. Finally, for graphics card connection, we have a single PCIe 3.0 x1 slot.

At the rear, Asus equips its board with DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA video outputs. There’s also a COM port and a PS2 keyboard/mouse combo. Finally, six USB-A ports of various standards are included, as well as audio and Ehternet.

Finally, power is supplied via a 24-pin ATX connector coupled to a 4-pin EPS12V CPU.
