Thus, via a tweet from HXL (@9550pro), we learn that after performing an update of its BIOS, the PC boots faster. According to his readings, the config now boots in about thirty seconds where it took nearly a minute before. Concerning the configuration, the person operates a machine based on :
- Ryzen 9 7950X3D
- 2x 32 GB of DDR5 at 5600 MT/s
- ROG X670E Hero
In the tweet, we also learn that the person was switching from the 0805 version of his bios to the 1004. The latter containing a new Agesa code, the 1.0.0.6 and a security update of the TPM 2.0 module. Obviously, this is enough to drastically reduce the boot time of the machine.
If you have an AMD motherboard, don’t hesitate to update your BIOS. Apparently, this new code seems to be available on all AM5 boards from Asus. Similarly, we find this Agesa 1.0.0.6 at Gigabyte and MSI but not yet at ASRock apparently. It remains to be seen if this result is found on all motherboards or if it is specific to this X670E Hero.
