MEG 342C QD-OLED: a 34″ curved MSI OLED display!

MSI offers us a new nugget with a 21:9 curved OLED screen at 1800R. This screen is announced as being high-end, by its type of slab, but also by its technical sheet!

On the menu, we find a 34″ monitor with a 34″ diagonal OLED panel. As if that wasn’t enough, the latter is also curved at 1800R while offering a strong reactivity. Indeed, the brand announces a very low latency of 0.1 ms and a frequency of 175 Hz. As for the resolution, with a 21:9 format, you can imagine, we find a resolution of 3440 x 1440!

At the level of the display, we find a brightness of 250 nits in SDR, but it can point to 1000 nits in peak. Concerning the native contrast, it displays a ratio of 1000000:1, OLED obliges. The display of colors will be on 10 bits while the screen offers a coverage of 139.1%, 97.8% and 99.3% of color ranges sRGB, Adobe RGB and DCI-P3. With this, we are entitled to a certification DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400.

Connectivity highlights two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort and a USB-C. Of course, a four-port USB-A hub with 3.2 Gen1 standard is also present. With this, we will remember the navigation in the OSD is provided by a five-way button. Finally, we will be able to count on a two-way adjustable stand with a nicely worked design!

For now, the price is not yet known, we just know that the first shipments will be made from early March.
