Atomic Heart, which will be released on February 21 has its PC specs announced. So, do you have what it takes to run the upcoming title from Mundfish, the Russian studio behind the game? Let’s peel it all back together.
Atomic Heart: what are the requirements to run the game?
Before we can play the game, you’ll agree, we need to download and install it. For this, we need a storage medium with at least 90 GB of free space. If for the most accessible machines a storage type HDD is mentioned, the studio still recommends the use of SSD.
Anyway, let’s get to the heart of the matter and start with the minimum of the minimum to run the game. With the following configuration, you will be able to play at least in 1080p and at 30 FPS. So, to play in these conditions, you’ll need a Ryzen 3 1200 or Core i5 2500 coupled with 12GB of RAM and a GTX 960/R9 380.
To reach 60 FPS, the studio recommends upgrading to a Core i5 6500 and moving to a GTX 1060 or RADEON RX 580. However, the VRAM capacity of these cards is not mentioned. Note that the CPU part in AMD remains the same: a Ryzen 3 1200.
To play in Medium at 60 fps, you will have to switch to a quad core CPU. On the Intel side, we’re going with a Core i5 6600K and a Ryzen 5 1400 in AMD. In addition, you will need to increase the amount of RAM to 16 GB while a GTX 1070 or a RADEON RX 5600 XT is required for the graphics part.
High, ultra and ultra 4K:
In high, Core i5 7600K or Ryzen 5 1600 is recommended. For the graphics part, a GTX 1080 or a RADEON RX 5700 XT is recommended. And if you want to go ultra, you’ll have to turn to a Core i7 7700K/Ryzen 5 2600X, all coupled with an RTX 2070S and an RX 6700XT.
Until now, these configurations were intended for gameplay in 1080. Now we’re moving to ” Ultra 4K ” at 60fps. At this level, you will need a Core i7 8700K or a Ryzen 5 3600X. As for the graphics part, an RTX 3080 or an RX 6800 XT are required.
Now we just have to see what it will be in reality. As you know, between the announced configurations and what is really needed, there is sometimes a gap. But to know that, you have to wait until February 21, when the game will be launched.
