New high-end graphics card to land at MSI. The brand announces the arrival of a RX 6800 XT Gaming Z Trio. It is thus a question of a version placed above the Gaming X in the nomenclature of the brand. Let’s see what it changes!
6800 XT Gaming Z Trio: a boost up to 2310 MHz!
From a purely aesthetic point of view, there is no big change with the Gaming X. Indeed, MSI seems to use the same heatsink, the famous Tri Frozr R2. As a reminder, the latter is anything but compact since it has dimensions of 141 (W) x 324 (L) x 55 (H) mm. So be careful with the space in your case.
In addition, what we must remember is the boost frequency that increases since it now points to 2310 MHz. As a reminder, it was 2285 MHz on the X version, a gain of 25 MHz. Otherwise, no change in memory with 16 GB of GDDR6 clocked at 16 Gbps.
The connectivity part highlights three DisplayPort outputs as well as an HDMI socket. For the power supply, it will be necessary to be equipped with three PCIe 8-pin against two for the Gaming X.
Finally, we end with the pricing, which MSRP (brand suggested retail price) is $1339. We are far from the $649 recommended by AMD.
