We continue in the field of the screens with the brand LG which announces a huge monitor. Indeed, with the 49WQ95C the brand puts forward a reference with an absolutely huge diagonal: 49″. Only in width, this reference displays 1,21m, that is to say the size of the monster!
49WQ95C: a 1.21m wide screen and a dual QHD resolution!
Nevertheless, if the size of this monitor can impress, one should not be deluded either. From a technical point of view, it is as if we had two QHD screens “stuck” next to each other. But it’s still very impressive to see. In terms of resolution, as we said, we find a dual QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440, all on an IPS panel. Despite this IPS panel, the reactivity is rather good with a frequency of 144 Hz. On the other hand, the latency remains classic: 5 ms gray to gray. With this, we can count on a brightness of 400 cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The Display HDR400 certification is also present. Finally, in terms of color spaces, we have a coverage of 98% of the DCI-P3 range. Obviously, with such a diagonal, it is impossible to have a stand that can be oriented in all directions. We will not be able to switch it to portrait format for example! Nevertheless, we can count on the presence of two speakers of 10W. The invoice, inevitably, it is very high since this model is announced to $1699,99. Ah, and when you receive it, take the time to check its condition and plan a little space too. A monitor of this size comes with a big box!
