For its part, MSI announces the arrival of a new graphics card with the RTX 3080 Ventus 3X Plus 12G OC LHR. This model takes the Ventus heatsink of the range, however, it does not have any RGB lighting. What with a more discreet card!
3080 Ventus 3X Plus: no RGB lighting on the MSI card!
With this card, MSI announces a big model and for good reason, it displays important dimensions: 305 (L) x 120 (W) x 57 (H) mm. It will occupy more than two expansion slots in your case.
Otherwise, we find an imposing heatsink with three TorX Fan 3.0 fans with two types of blades. The objective for the brand is to increase the airflow as well as the static pressure of its fans for a better cooling. Of course, the heatsink consists of several blocks of aluminum fins and heat pipes that will come into contact with the GPU.
This RTX 3080 is equipped with elements to strengthen its rigidity. MSI provides a bracket as an accessory, but that’s not all. The PCB benefits from a reinforcement bar as well as a backplate that will also be used for cooling.
With this card, the brand offers a factory overclocked model that displays a boost to 1740 MHz against 1710 MHz for the non-OC version. Regarding the memory, we have the right to 12 GB of GDDR6X running at 19 Gbps and a memory bus of 384 bits (912 GB / s bandwidth).
Finally, the official price does not seem to have been announced. On the other hand, we expect this card to land around 1600€.
