Z690 Valkyrie: three motherboards from Biostar!

0

Three new motherboards have been released by Biostar and all of them are equipped with a Z690 chipset: Z690 Valkyrie, Z690A Valkyrie and Z690 GTA Racing!

Z690 Valkyrie : The top of the range according to Biostar!

Biostar Z690 ValkyrieWith this first motherboard, Biostar offers us its high-end model. With this model, the brand offers us a card in ATX format, far from what the Z690 Godlike of MSI for example. However, we can count on a card with 20 power supply phases with 105A DrMOS.

In terms of connectivity, we find three PCIe x16 (two in 5.0 standard, one in 4.0). On the RAM side, this model offers four DRR5 DIMM slots for 6000 MHz memory. Finally, for storage, we have eight SATA III and four M.2 slots in PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x4/x1.

Z690A Valkyrie: back to DDR4!

Biostar Z690A ValkyrieWith this “A” model, we go down a range since the card no longer hosts DDR5 memory. No, here we have the old generation DDR4 with a frequency support up to 5000 MHz. Otherwise, the connectivity remains unchanged from the previous model. So we have three PCIe x16 connectors, eight SATA III and four M.2. For the power supply, we should also find the same number of phases. Moreover, we find the same components with DrMOS in 105A.

Z690GTA Racing: the most affordable model!

Biostar Z690 GTA RacingWith this model, clearly, we are dealing with the most accessible model of the series. This can be felt in its less rich connectivity. Compared to the Valkyrie, we lose PCIe x16. Indeed, we only have one x16 port at the 5.0 standard followed by a PCIe x16 4.0, the rest will be PCIe 3.0 x1. On the other hand, the number of connectors for storage remains the same: 8x SATA III + 4x M.2.

For the moment, prices are not yet known, but the technical data sheets are available on the site of the brand.
