A first leak concerning the future APU AMD Ryzen 6000 series Rembrandt has just appeared in the database UserBenchmark. AMD’s next-generation Ryzen Rembrandt APUs will be based on the Zen 3+ and RDNA 2 GPU cores. A priori, these future CPUs would be based on TSMC’s 6nm process.

The next AMD Rembrandt

APU in DDR5 from early 2022 The AMD Rembrandt is the next APU for gaming laptops and mobile workstations. It is probably the most important upgrade as far as the integrated graphics part is concerned. It will use Navi2, finally retiring the Vega architecture. The series should also offer PCIe Gen4 support (while Cezanne is Gen3) as well as DDR5 memory support. For a few weeks now, rumors have indicated that Rembrandt is already in production. This new series should be launched around CES 2022.

The processor leaked in Userbenchmark has a base clock of 3.9 GHz and a boost to 4.1 GHz. Finally it is listed with an FP7 socket, which would be the platform for the upcoming Rembrandt 6nm series in notebooks. The version here comes with a 16 GB DDR5 4800 Mbps memory in SODIMM format. From a performance point of view, it may seem anecdotal but the new APU is slightly below what the Ryzen 9 5900H is capable of. But we are obviously on a sample very early in commercial production.

Corsair on a new PC form factor?

The other curiosity in this leak is the PC in which this APU was spotted. According to the system identification, it would be a Corsair system named Xenomorph. For the moment we have no information on Corsair’s entry into the laptop market. It could therefore be a Mini PC or possibly an All In One since the brand has entered the display market a short time ago.
