The latest information on the Ryzen 6000, the last AMD generation that will use the AM4, confirms that this new family will be presented during January 2022 at the CES in Las Vegas. On the other hand, the availability could be assured only for the end of February at best.

Ryzen 6000/5000XT For those who missed this episode, the Ryzen 6000 will not really be a big novelty but an update of the 5000 generation boosted by cache memory. It is still the Zen3 architecture that will be used but AMD will take advantage of this transition to implement its famous 3D V-Cache memory . When Lisa SU presented this generation, she insisted on the promise of 3D V-Cache which could allow a gain in performance of up to compared to the current 5000 series.

Ryzen 6000: A delay at launch?

The real concern that filters through today’s leaks is that AMD seems to be behind its projected schedule. The 6000 family was supposed to counter Intel’s Alder Lake by offering high-performance CPUs with a cheap platform (all the current AM4 boards). It could be that this generation will only arrive at the end of the third quarter… At the same time, the arrival of the Ryzen 7000 ( based on Zen 4 ) seems more and more hypothetical. For the moment AMD maintains that this generation, which will also have DDR5, will arrive at the very end of 2022.

Ryzen 6000 The concern for AMD is that during the summer, Intel should still accelerate and launch Raptor Lake which promises a significant gain in performance.
