RTX 3080 12 GB today as expected

It is in a certain indifference that the RTX 3080 12 GB is launched today. A few days ago we shared with you this date of January 11 which we had heard about as well as various elements to detail this launch. It is with a tweet that Materiel.net (LDLC group) has confirmed the launch of the card today. The fact that the card will be available in very small quantities is obviously not a scoop. We will observe however how this card will be positioned in terms of price since only brands will have a version (no FE version from Nvidia). For the record, the RTX 3080 12 GB does not replace the classic 3080 that remains in the catalog at Nvidia. However, we all noticed that its availability was even more scarce than the other references of the chameleon. Beyond the passage from 10 to 12 GB, the “new” card is equipped with a variation of the GA102-220 GPU with 8960 CUDA cores. NVIDIA has not officially confirmed the arrival of this new GPU, but it is no secret that some retailers already have cards in their stocks. Pre-orders will begin immediately today at 3:00 pm.
