ROG Strix XG279Q : an all white Asus monitor !

As far as screens are concerned, we can count on Asus to launch a new monitor, the ROG Strix XG279Q. This reference has the particularity to be completely white… Woohooo… It may seem anecdotal, but white screens are not common. To be sure, a small tour on LDLC is enough.

Asus ROG Strix XG279QWith this reference, the brand offers us a screen with a 27″ fast IPS slab, not curved. The latter displays a WQHD resolution, that is to say 2560 x 1440 in addition to being very responsive: 170 Hz with a gray to gray latency of 1 ms. A new model that is part of the current trend to offer ultra-reactive IPS monitors … Especially since it is NVIDIA G-Sync and Adaptive Sync compatible.

Regarding its characteristics, this model offers a brightness of 400 cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Asus announces a coverage of the DCI-P3 space of 95% and 130% for the sRGB spectrum as well as HDR400 certification. Moreover, there is talk of a screen displaying horizontal / vertical viewing angles of 178 °.

In terms of connectivity, this ROG Strix XG279Q displays a duo of HDMI 2.0 complemented by a DisplayPort 1.2. Finally, we will find a USB 3.0 HUB and two speakers of 2x 2W each, hence the presence of a 3.5″ jack.
